Betting Profits Advice: Unlocking Wins with Expert Strategies

Today we will switch our attention from Greyhounds to Horse Racing offering valuable Betting Profits Advice along the way. I trust you will understand that most of my experience has been gained with Australian, New Zealand and Hong Kong racing. I have used the Bettingdev programs with some success in recent years, Malbot on Aus Horse Racing, and to a more limited extent, HR Back2Lay on UK Horse Racing.

My database extends back over 25 years with more than one hundred thousand races and well over one million horses with all their form and results and many other criteria totalling 350 different pieces of information on each horse in each race. This vast reservoir of data forms the backbone of our Betting Profits Advice.

And just to clarify for you, I am not a statistician I’m a retired quarryman who failed High School and when I encountered my first computer I said this useless thing can’t do anything that a bright young 15yo school girl couldn’t do faster. So the very next week I employed that 15yo young lady who spent many years showing me how to love what computers are capable of doing and that changed my life.

Greyhounds or Horse Racing?

There are good arguments for concentrating on each of these to make profits. In the end it will come down to your own personal preferences. What I do suggest though is that whatever your decision then you must look for a niche in which to concentrate your efforts. This approach is crucial for our Betting Profits Advice, and you should seriously consider a small investment on tools such as those provided by Bettingdev to speed up your learning process.

Horse Racing

In my case after many years of experience, I have chosen Horse Racing and the Gallops but not the Jumps racing and I have developed several little niches of expertise.

One of these is associated with a particular Form criterion which is not presented clearly by the daily news media.

I hunt it out every day with the help of my “tools” and then I list all the qualifiers based on my proven criteria.

In a normal day of Australian racing there can be 25 race meetings each with an average of 8 or 9 races and an average field size of 10 starters so with 1,500 to 2,000 runners they will be spread around the Australian racetracks of which there are around 400. Some of these may hold only one or two meetings a year and some have been converted to trial or training only tracks.

I need to quickly reduce this and it is normal to end up with 10 – 50 horses meeting my niche criteria so I then compare those and settle on between 1 and 3 horses to place my bet on.

The one thing I try to avoid when selecting my prime niche bet of the day is the current price.

Having decided on my investments for the day by around 11:30am I decide whether I will use a Bot to place my wagers on Betfair just before the Jump or will I just place my bets manually at Betfair Starting Price. At this time I decide on the percentage to place for the Win and for a Place.

I usually note the time of my races and arrange to watch the race online via Sky Racing or Free to Air TV or if I am driving then I tune in to Racing Radio and listen to the call and watch a replay of the race online before I download all the results for that day.

I keep a basic spreadsheet of my bets and profit and loss each day so that I can decide when to change the size of my bets which are usually 2% of my Betting Bank Balance and I always check my Betting accounts every few days to catch the occasional error.

So now is a great time to settle on your own profitable betting niche or niches. Feel free to request advice is you need detailed guidance.

Malbot from Bettingdev

Malbot from Bettingdev represents a pivotal aspect of our Betting Profits Advice. The original concept was developed many years ago in collaboration with another Australian punter, Malcolm from Queensland, hence the term Malsbot.

So now is a great time to settle on your own profitable betting niche or niches. For more Betting Profits Advice, feel free to request detailed guidance.

In the next Edition I hope to be able to tell you how to make profits on Australian Horse Races using this great little Bettingdev tool.

Meanwhile keep winning,

Mike.
