  • Data Quality gauge: Data Quality is an indicator of the amount of data used to arrive at a rating prediction. So, simply, the more data, the sounder the quality; we would suggest there are good confidence levels after 70%.
  • FC/Odds combo box: To display the “Bookmaker” or “Exchange” odds in the column FC and GBo.
  • Betting Returns button: To display the Betting Returns (BSP, Bookmaker and Tote dividends) of the race. They are only available after having downloaded the results of the day.

Abbreviations on the Ranking table

  • Rk: Horse rank based on the Pts column, and the FC column in case of equality.
  • Horse (Naps): The horse name is followed by one or two * when this is the jockey’s/trainer’s only race at this meeting / and by the number of naps (if different from 0) – The Naps are the best tips from some of the best horse racing tipsters and journalists at leading newspapers in the UK and Ireland.
  • No.: Horse number
  • Dw: Draw
  • FC: Forecast
  • Pace: Pace forecast (values between 0 and 10)
  • DOB: DOB opportunity ( Best – Good – Neutral – Bad)
    • A blue background means that the DOB has been achieved (this is an estimation based on the Betfair SP and the IP minimum odds).
    • DOB results are known from Betfair the day after the races, that’s why the software updates them when you download the races of the day.
    • By hovering your mouse over the DOB column, you will access several Betfair historical data:
      • BFSP: Betfair Starting Price
      • IP Min.: Minimum price placed in-play
      • IP Max.: Maximum price placed in-play
      • PP Min.: Minimum price placed before the off
      • PP Max.: Maximum price placed before the off
      • Morning Vol.: Amount traded before 11am GMT
      • PP Vol.: Amount traded before the off
      • Morn./PP Vol.: Percentage increase in amount traded
  • TS: Top Speed Rating
  • D: Distance Up/Down
  • C: Class Up/Down
  • Miles: Distance traveled from the trainers yard to the track (in kilometers when mouse over the column)
  • Rtg: GoodBet rating based on the number of points (see column “Pts”) allocated to the horse.
  • Pts: Points of the horse calculated according to all the validated criteria.
  • GBo: GoodBet Estimated Odds (calculation based on points of each runner).
