Everything you need in one Excel sheet
If you are discovering HR Best Times for the first time, you can download a real example of a daily Excel file generated by HRBT. This allows you to immediately see the structure, columns, and depth of data produced by the software.
No third-party software or accounts are required. HRBT includes its own Excel-style reader, and all market data — including Betfair SP results — is retrieved directly from our servers. No Betfair account is needed.
This file is provided as an example for demonstration purposes and reflects a typical HRBT daily output.
Automation & spreadsheet compatibility
Betfair SP Win and Place data are automatically retrieved and added to both the HRBT spreadsheet and its internal database. This allows you to review historical performance, verify strategies, and work with complete post-race data without manual input.
HR Best Times includes its own embedded Excel-style reader. You do not need Microsoft Excel installed or licensed. The interface behaves like a real spreadsheet, with tabs, filters, live updates, sorting, and full export capabilities.

Real-world results using HRBT Rating
The screenshots below show a real Grade 1 Chase where the
top three runners ranked by HRBT Rating finished
1st, 2nd and 3rd in the exact order.
No complex filtering was required. The HRBT Rating alone was sufficient
to structure profitable combinations.

The first two HRBT-rated runners finished 1st and 2nd, returning €383.90 on a €1 Exacta. The top three HRBT-rated runners finished in exact order, returning €1,632.70 on a €1 Trifecta.
This highlights that HRBT is not limited to combination betting only. The HRBT Rating can be used directly for Win and Place strategies, while also providing a solid structural base for Exacta, Tricast, and other exotic approaches when available.

It’s good but a bit hard to navigate
Thanks for your review. HR Best Times contains a very large amount of information, so we understand that the interface can feel a little overwhelming at first.
The software can be simplified considerably by showing only the columns you actually want to use and hiding the others. You can therefore create anything from a very simple view based around the main HRBT Rating and rankings to a much more detailed analysis setup.
The easiest way to simplify HRBT is to customise the race spreadsheet and display only the data you actually use. In the spreadsheet, open the “HR Best Times Columns” tab and untick the columns you do not need. Your selected layout is saved, so you only need to configure it once.
For example, you can start with just a small number of key ratings and rankings, then add more columns later as you become familiar with the software. This makes the race view much cleaner and considerably easier to navigate.
The User Manual also explains the different sections and columns in detail. If you need help creating a simple starting layout, please contact us and we will be happy to help.
